Co-owner Tom Caruso has been in the cabinet business since 1986. In 2001 he incorporated Caruso's Cabinets and began growing his business.

Determined to fill the void that his competitors failed to do, he focused on establishing relationships with his manufacturers and customers.

In addition, he had the support of his entire family to assist him. His brother Jerry joined as a designer; his brother Pat joined the company as an installer; his brother Mike joined the firm as a delivery person and daughter Ashley worked in sales support. His wife Chris also works in the business as an administrative specialist.

Along the way he saw another businessman with the same philosophy, Rich Smothers. Rich was instrumental in growing a large concrete company in Lorain County. Tom admired his business savvy and respected his desire to satisfy his customers. Over a period of 10 years Rich and Tom became friends and held each other in high regard as they always strived to ensure the customer was carefully satisfied.

In 2004, Rich joined Caruso's Cabinets as Co-owner. “We want to provide our customers with something special, different and real”, Rich states. You, a potential customer, will only meet a few people in your life time that do what they say they will do. That haven’t forgotten that a person's “word” is the only thing they really own.
